1st suspicious activity: Iskaral refers to the Mule as 'Servant', demanding that it bring him wine. Mappo is amused. Iskaral throws a handful of sand at the beast, apparently startling it. The mule then runs into a cave and moments later, Servant (the human one) comes out of the cave 'carrying a tray bearing a jug and clay cups' (DG, UK MMPB, p.111)

Mappo later notes: 'A warren opened in the cave when the mule entered.' (DG, UK MMPB, p.114)
