Setting: Darujhistan

Summary
Crokus watches as Rake and the demon lord battle in their humanoid forms. Dragnipur takes the Galayn.

Vorcan attacks Baruk and Derudan, who are briefly protected by a Tiste Andii woman. Crokus arrives and throws two bricks at Vorcan. Baruk tends to the poisoned Derudan and Crokus takes off. Rallick carries Vorcan into the new Azath House in Simtal’s garden. Korlat and other Tiste Andii pursue the assassin to the House, then leave.

The Bridgeburners convene in Coll’s room at the Phoenix Inn. They communicate with Dujek who reveals they are now outlawed and Seven Cities is about to rebel. Dujek will parley with Caladan Brood. Whiskeyjack is promoted to Dujek’s second-in-command and Paran commands the Bridgeburners. Kalam and Fiddler will accompany Apsalar back to the Empire.

Crokus, Kruppe and Murillio reunite outside the Simtal estate.
