Gardens of the Moon: Chapter 21

Setting: Darujhistan

Summary
Lorn plants the acorn in Simtal’s garden. She still has to kill the Coin Bearer and Sorry.
Kruppe realises his identity as the Eel is known. He believes someone else is also protecting Crokus. Crokus and Apsalar head for the Simtal estate.

The Bridgeburner’s are hired as guards for the Fete. In the distance thunder and lightning signal Raest’s battle with the dragons. Kalam loses his patience and tells Scurve to tell the Guild Master that there is an Empire contract for the Guild.

Baruk and Rake arrive at the Fete. Rake wear a mask a black dragon. Murillio and Rallick watch Kruppe approach and speak with Rake and Baruk. Murillio distracts and seduces Simtal. Turban Orr recognises Circle Breaker as the guard from Despot’s Barbican but before he can kill him Rallick challenges him to a duel. Orr choses D’Arle as his second and Rake volunteers to be Rallick’s second. Mammot wears the mask of a Jaghut. Baruk adjudicates the duel which Rallick wins quickly due to his Otataral dust.

The Bridgeburner’s look on and recognise Rake. Crokus searches for Challice while Kruppe delivers a message to Circle Breaker. Rake meets the witch Derudan and he suspects the greatest threat lies within the city. Rallick tells Simtal Orr is dead and Coll will be reinstated. Murillio leaves behind his dagger (so she can commit suicide). Crokus finds Challice and carries her off into the garden. Kruppe sleeps.
