Summary
An Eel agent (Circle Breaker?) tells Rallick that Ocelot has accepted a contract from Turban Orr on behalf of Lady Simtal on Coll. Rallick climbs K’Rul Temple to the belfry to wait for Ocelot. He rubs Otataral dust onto his face and body.

Circle Breaker signals an Eel agent, who in turn signals Meese. Meese enters Mammot’s house and finds Crokus and Apsalar. She warns Crokus that D’Arle believes he killed a guard when he stole Challice’s treasures and wants to hang him. Serrat waits on the rooftops for an opportunity to kill the Coin Bearer. At the Phoenix Inn, Kruppe and Murillio don’t find Crokus and Apsalar at the Phoenix Inn. Circle Breaker delivers a message to Murillio.

Rake speaks to Baruk about the Tiste Andii’s disinterest with everything. He explains Laseen’s plan to weaken himself through the Tyrant and that he forced Shadowthrone out by killing two Hounds. Mammot is a High Priest of D’Rek and travelled by Warren to the Jaghut Barrow, risking possession by the awakening Tyrant.
