Summary
Tool and the Adjunct enter the Barrow; Tool recognises the Tyrant held within and does not want to release it but is compelled to do so.

Crokus suggests the name Apsalar to “Sorry”, which she takes. Kruppe and Murillio pursue Crokus and Apsalar. Kruppe suspects what the Adjunct is up to and tells Murillio he knows of his and Rallick’s plan to reinstate Coll.

A Bhederin herd surrounds Paran and then he is attacked by Rhivi. His luck holds and is unscathed. The Tattersail-child reassures Paran that they will meet again before the Rhivi and herd leave. He heads towards Darujhistan and encounters Coll. They share the camp and ride to Darujhistan together. They tell each other their backgrounds - Coll was once a noble.
