Summary
Tool and the Adjunct enter the Gadrobi Hills. He explains that the Tellann and Omtose Phellack Warrens are of the same “flavour” hence he can find the Jaghut barrow. He is clanless and expendable. He reveals that Tiste Andii came to this world and that the First Warren Starvald Demelain is the home of Dragons. Tool finds the Barrow marker. Lorn feels some doubt about the Empire plan to weaken Rake by releasing the Jaghut Tyrant.

Kruppe and co. journey out to the Gadrobi Hills from Darujhistan. Sorry follows them and moves into the Shadow Warren sensing danger ahead for Coin Bearer’s group.

Paran and Toc are a few days behind the Adjunct. They have followed the trail of Ravens left by Hairlock. Toc has a vision of an ambush by Warren.
